DISASTER RELIEF - Natural disasters near and far seem to be in
the news daily. We ask, "How can we help?" Presbyterian
Disaster Assistance (PDA) is our preferred organization, and you can learn
more here. Of course, you can make donations through
VFPC, designated for PDA. Want a more hands-on, local, and
immediate option? We recently received information about groups
helping Bloomsburg, PA clean up from the floods on Saturdays in October.
Information here. This involves personally devoting a day to
serve a local need. VFPC has not vetted this organization, and is not a
sponsor, but the information seems worth providing here if you are
interested.

Our weekly newsletter is the "LINK" and it is a bulletin
insert. You can see the current copy here, usually updated by Friday before
Sunday's worship service.
Our monthly newsletters, called
"CONNECTIONS", are mailed to members and
friends. They are generally availble on this site a few days
before they are printed and mailed. Just check here for the current issue. (If
your Internet connection is dialup, please be patient while the file
loads. It's not as fast as the regular web pages.) The prior
issue of "Connections" is still available here for you to reference.

IN THE CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER - The policy for this
winter is as follows……..please call the church office on Sunday morning at
610-265-2420 and listen to the voice message to learn if the Sunday School
Classes and the Worship Service are cancelled. If the voice mail has
the regular greeting that means the schedule is as normal. Every effort
will be made to change the voicemail as early as possible, but each person
needs to make their own judgment about the safety of their
travel. |
