…Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others…Philippians 2: 3-4
Valley Forge Presbyterian Church’s Missions goal is to promote an awareness of and response to - the needs of our local, regional and global communities.
Valley Forge Presbyterian has a long and favored tradition of supporting local organizations. While aware of difficult economic situation for many in our own church family, we still think of others in our surrounding communities in need. The Church responds to these needs through its various programs like the annual Spring Flea Market, Barbecue, Fall Clothing Sale, Alternative Gift and Peacemaking with help from many church member volunteers.
In 2009 year we started Neighborhood Barbecue event to which immediate neighbors were invited, the same year the we established a church-to-church relationship with West Kensington Ministries in Philadelphia. West Kensington provides a Ministry and vital services to a largely Hispanic population where there is high unemployment.
Among other activities, we continue to collaborate with Presbytery of Philadelphia’s church wide delegation to Zambia.
